Rev'd Caroline Wainman Schorne Team Vicar

Caroline Wainman

Although I was born in Derby and spent my very early years in Cheshire, I lived and went to school from the age of about 7 in Bletchley. I trained as a schoolteacher, having studied in Birmingham, France and Oxford. I taught French at secondary level in both Bicester and Watford - having moved to Hertfordshire when I got married.

I am married to Chris, and between us we have three sons Nick, Jonny and Bobby who are all growing up and slowly but surely flying the nest with their studies.

I became a Christian as an adult and felt the calling to ordained ministry when I was a young mother juggling being a very active volunteer and lay leader in my local village church, working part-time in school and being a Mum (and step-Mum) to three boys.

I studied for ordination on the Eastern Region Ministry course and was ordained Deacon in 2017 and Priest in 2018 at St. Albans Cathedral. I completed three years as Curate in the parish of St. Mary and St. Paul, Hemel Hempstead before sensing the call back to Buckinghamshire to become Team Vicar with particular responsibility for the parish of Waddesdon, Upper Winchendon, Westcott and Fleet Marston.

I love all things French, love to research and plan trips away to lovely places and I love cooking. I am at my happiest chatting with friends and family over great food and wine.
